Stories of the renovated apartments
- A story about the sea: The apartments are located in the immediate vicinity of the endless blue of the Slovenian sea, which provides many beneficial effects. This is also reflected in the interior design of the apartments, with a calming blue colour palette and floating fish on the walls for a perfect relaxed holiday atmosphere.
- The story of the sun: Strunjan is dominated by a Mediterranean climate with plenty of sunshine, the rays of which endow us with vitamin D for energy and a stronger immune system. The sun also shines brightly from the apartment walls, which are dominated by the positive vibes of the colour yellow.
- The story of salt: Apartments Salinera is very close to the Strunjan salt pans, the smallest of its kind in the Mediterranean, where salt has been extracted using traditional methods for more than 700 years. Strunjan salt is also an indispensable part of the wellness treatments at the Salinera resort, and the apartments tell its story using bright colours and salt displayed behind decorative glass on the walls.
Well-kept beach
A grassy beach with lots of natural shade is located directly in front of the hotel. Entry to the beach is free, and beach umbrellas and loungers can be rented for an additional fee. There are also two outdoor swimming pools on the beach, which are intended only for hotel guests. The beach is only open in the summer season.
Indoor pools with heated sea water
At the Salinera resort, you can enjoy the experience of swimming in sea water all year round. In the warmer months, take a dip in the outdoor swimming pool while the children have fun in the smaller children's pool. In the colder months, you can enjoy our indoor bathing complex with its large swimming pool and two smaller whirlpools, as well as a children's pool.
Wellness services
Wellness Syra will bring you to a place of peace and relaxation. The wellness centre's specialty is the bio Istrian sauna, which you can visit in the sauna complex. It will enchant you with the scent of lavender and Mediterranean flora.
Local cuisine and rich wine culture
The cuisine of Slovenian Istria is primarily based on simple-to-prepare dishes made from locally grown seasonal ingredients. The Salinera resort is located right next to the Strunjan Nature Park, which features many riches and beautiful sights, both natural and those shaped by man over the centuries. Along with the salt pans, the park also features an 80-metre-high Flysch cliff. In clear weather, the view from the exceptional vantage points in the park stretches over the entire Bay of Trieste, and even all the way to Triglav.

Guests of the apartments can enjoy the indoor pool with heated sea water, children's pool and two whirlpools at the hotel (except during July and August, when these facilities are closed). The Salinera resort also has its own beach. There is an outdoor swimming pool on the beach, intended only for guests of the resort. The beach and pool are open during the summer season. There is also a bar on the beach.
The Wellness Syra wellness centre is located in Hotel Salinera. It offers therapeutic programmes and relaxation massages, as well as face and body care. The sauna centre offers a combination of wet and dry saunas: Turkish, Finnish, infrared, and bio-Istrian saunas, as well as refreshment in the cold plunge. The resort also has a bioenergy park with 12 energy points.
