In addition to the pleasant shade offered by the mighty pine trees, you will also be impressed by the outdoor sea water swimming pool, where the whole family can enjoy some water fun, as well as the children's pool and plentiful space for various outdoor activities in the fresh sea air.

Indoor pools with heated sea water

At the Salinera resort, you can enjoy the experience of swimming in sea water all year round. In the colder months, you can enjoy our indoor bathing complex: a large swimming pool, two smaller whirlpools, and a children's pool.

Wellness services

Wellness Syra will bring you to a place of peace and relaxation. The wellness centre's specialty is the bio Istrian sauna, which you can visit in the sauna complex. It will enchant you with the scent of lavender and Mediterranean herbs.

Local cuisine and rich wine culture

The cuisine of Slovenian Istria is primarily based on simple-to-prepare dishes made from locally grown seasonal ingredients. Guests of Vila Maia also have the option of half-board at the Salinera hotel restaurant.

Discover the beauty of the Strunjan Nature Park

The Salinera resort is located right next to the Strunjan Nature Park, which features many riches and beautiful sights, both natural and those shaped by man over the centuries. The park features salt pans and an 80-metre-high Flysch cliff. In clear weather, the view from the exceptional vantage points in the park stretches over the entire Bay of Trieste and even all the way to Triglav.

There are nine apartments of two different sizes: 52 and 62 m2. The smaller apartments can accommodate up to 6 persons, and the larger apartments can accommodate up to 8 persons. All apartments are equipped with a stove, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, cutlery, and crockery, and each bathroom has a bathtub.

Guests of Vila Maia can enjoy the indoor pool with heated sea water, a children's pool, and two whirlpools in the hotel (except in July and August when these facilities are closed). The Salinera resort also has its own beach. There is an outdoor swimming pool on the beach, intended only for guests of the resort. The beach and pool are open during the summer season. There is also a bar on the beach.

The Wellness Syra wellness centre is located in Hotel Salinera. It offers therapeutic programmes and relaxation massages, as well as face and body care. The sauna centre offers a combination of wet and dry saunas: Turkish, Finnish, infrared, and bio-Istrian saunas, as well as refreshment in the cold plunge. The resort also has a bioenergy park with 12 energy points.
